When Maria applied for the inspection she wrote into the remarks that we kindly ask for an inspection in the morning to enable Roberto to put the shingles up in the afternoon.
The inspector is so kind to come early.
He is satisfied with Roberto's work. But he points out that we are missing Roberto's listing as a sub-contractor under or building permit. He would be in his right to cancel this inspection. Fortunately he tells us only to ensure that this listing is done before the roof final inspection.
When we met Roberto the first time he spoke about a sub-permit but we told him that everything has been taken care of. It seems that we misunderstood the city employee when we picked up the permit.
Maria informs Roberto accordingly.
When they unloaded the windows Juergen realised how heavy the windows especially the archtop windows were. Now we are a bit worried how he and Patrick will be able to lift these windows into the openings.

The window flanges are sealed with silicone. Later on the windows will be nailed to the wood frame. To keep the windows fixed in the openings screws are applied. The casement window is the "first trial". |

In the evening all windows and the French door are put in.
The work for tomorrow will be to hammer the nails through the flange.
